SPACE CLOVER
Arts Space & Outdoor Cinema
Welcome to Space Clover!
We are a seasonal, swana and woman owned independent arts space located on 15 acres of woods and wetlands in Stuyvesant NY. We are here to give pleasurable, accessible experiences of cinema, art and movement outdoors, in nature. We open our doors in July 2026 through early October 2026, for our first season.
Upstate Arts Weekend at Space Clover!
We are honored to join Upstate Arts weekend this year. Our opening hours for UAW are:
Saturday and Sunday June 20 & 21st
10 am - 6 pm
Space Clover presents:
Ciudad Abierta of the 1970’s: photographs by Anthony Hamboussi, Cinema Antiplastique: original nature films screened outside & Carolin Wood's beautiful tactile outdoor wooden sculptures.
Ciudad Abierta is a space of whimsical architecture founded in the early 1970s by a collective of architects, artists, and poets in Valparaíso, Chile. Unfolding over 700 acres of dunes and plateaus facing the Pacific Ocean in Ritoque, Chile, Open City is the materialization of theory, craftsmanship and interdisciplinary collaboration. We explore Ciudad Abierta’s importance to the present moment through images by Egyptian Brooklyn born photographer Anthony Hamboussi, alongside documentation of their spirited games and activities.
A selection of original and ambient, silent films of nature by Brooklyn based moving image and movement studio Cinema Antiplastique will screen in Space Clover’s outdoor cinema. Wonderful for a diverse range of audiences, CinA’s films are designed for healing and embodied connection with wonder for our earth.
The entire family can play with flaps and hinges on Carolin Wood’s beautiful, whimsical outdoor wooden sculptures.
Space Clover provides space for relaxation, inspiration and picnics on its open lawn, located on 15 acres of woods and wetlands in Stuyvesant. Space Clover is a unique and welcoming seasonal arts space. www.spaceclover.org

Visiting for the weekend?
Come to us
Space Clover is conviently located to a few of upstate’s coolest art attractions: a 10 minute drive to Jack Shaiman’s The School museum and the village of Kinderhook, and 15 minutes to the scupture fields of Art Omi. 20 minutes from galleries and performance venues in Hudson NY, Chatham NY and Albany NY.
For nature lovers, across the street from us, we recommend the short kid friendly boardwalk at Lewis A. Swyer Preserve. For longer walks, the High Falls Conservation area in Hudson!
We are located in the stolen lands of the Mohecan people now known as Columbia County. Our space is part of a growing movement to attune with these histories in the US and beyond to make way for worldwide reparations of earth, human and interspecies relations. As we work to collectively address these histories and crimes, we invite indigenous peoples of this land to reach out re collaboration, land back efforts and events here. We look forward to hearing from you!
